How to get rid of a gloomy mood..

There are times when you feel really very low. You know, that feeling when you feel devastated, sad, unhappy, unpleasant, irritated and annoyed, all at the same time. Those are the times when you lose your cool and hurt the people around you, and sometimes, you hurt them really deeply. Well, this post is about how to feel better in such situations. Read along if this is something you are curious about!

Even I have been in such situations and I have also hurt the people around me and felt sad for the same and regretted. Well, to get away from this mood, what I do is listen to music, mostly. I normally listen to happy and cheerful and rock songs in this mood. I ignore the soft songs, because they make me feel worse. I switch the amplifier on full volume and relax and try not to think and just go with it. It helps, it really does.

Sometimes if this doesn't help, I get on on social networking and have a LONG conversation with someone I really like to talk to. Telling them what you feel can help you get lighter, and if they are good friends, then, after some time, they will obviously cheer you up, and you will feel a LOT better than before.

Maybe this might not work for you. Then, do what you like doing. I mean, hobbies. For instance, when i don't feel like listening to music or talking to someone, I just take out my guitar and play along with what I want to. It really helps, especially when you are alone and nobody is there to comment on your playing, more like criticizing it.

I hope one of the above three ideas will help, and even if those ideas don't help, turn on the television and zoom through the channels and you will eventually find something appealing.

Just try and get rid of the gloomy mood as soon as you can, or it might have a negative effect on your mind and skin.

Examinations...

Examinations...a matter of worry for many, and for very less, a matter of less worry. For me, an examination is just a normal test to test how much we have learnt and our ability to apply theories in practical life. If you excel in these, consider yourself to have passed, but if you fail, try not be demotivated and give more time to academics.

In examinations. many people tend to cheat and score more. Fine, this will work for now, but what will you do in the long run? You will have to face examinations one day or the other, and better prepare yourself for it, rather than plan on cheating.

Sometimes, what happens is you prepare yourself well for exams, but when the question paper comes in front of you, you forget everything. This has happened to me as well. You need to keep yourself in one piece in this situation. Attempt the questions that you know, and give a little time to the questions which you do not know, and if you still don't figure it out, move on to the next question. Come back again to the unattempted questions at the last, and try them out.

Preparing for the exams is also overwhelming. Collect the previous question banks, prepare from the syllabus, and try to figure the question pattern and prepare yourself accordingly. At times, unexpected questions come to you in the exams, that's why prepare yourself for the unexpected.

When the result comes, you'll be surprised!

Tips On Improving Concentration

If you do not concentrate on what you are doing, your labour on that work will not be so productive. For example, while doing a sum in Mathematics, or just copying down the solution, if you do not concentrate, you will end up understanding nothing. But if you concentrate, you will be successful in understanding the sum, and definitely will be able to answer it on your own.

Lets take a science lecture as another example. While the teacher is teaching, we are always busy to convert his/her speech into notes, without concentrating on what he/she is teaching. If you pay your entire attention on his/her speech, you will be able to make a note of it even some time later. So paying concentration makes a difference.

Before you start to do something, clear out your mind from all the negative or positive thoughts of the world. Close your eyes and stay in isolation for about five minutes before you start your homework, I promise that it will help. Take short five to ten minutes' break every half hour of forty-five minutes, eat something at that time or just have a small chit-chat with your sibling. Then close your eyes and keep calm for five minutes, and continue with your work. This will help.

One important thing. Stay away from your laptop or mobile while studying. It makes you divert your attention.

After three hours of study, have dinner, or watch television for about half an hour. This will clear up your mind. After this, sit down and make a note of what important things you completed today, and what is left, and make a new list of things to do.

Strictly go to bed at 10.30 pm and try to think of good things before you sleep. It is recommended to have a short gap between you study and got to sleep. Try to maintain that gap. Getting enough sleep is another important factor to have a fresh mind in the morning.

Importance of Time Management

Time management is really very important for an individual, especially a student. If we, students do not manage time, we end up completing none of our works on time and get frustrated. Well, truthfuly speaking, the same has happened to me in the past few days. I haven't been able to do any homework, completely and I haven't got enough time to practice guitar daily. It makes me sad.

So, I've come to a solution. First, What I do is make a lst of things to be ddone and arrange it in decreasing order of importance, and allot maximum time required to do it. As I finish my work, I cross it out of my list. I usually come home at 6 in the evening, freshen up by 7, and then sit and do homework till 8.45, without any break. Then, I watch T.V for 30 minutes and have dinner at the same time, and then get back to work. I practice guitar on alternates, usually after I reach home, because it soothes my mind from all the workload.

This idea has worked well so far, and I finally got time to get on the Internet and update my blog. Stay tuned for more...

Stress...not a good thing

I've been really stressed out lately. Maybe due to school, friends, exams...I don't know really, but what I know is this stress is changing me from who I really am. I am a happy human being, and I always make the people around me happy by fooling around and by stupid jokes. But this stress has made me lose myself. The people around me now tell that I have changed, I get angry and frustrated easily. I have also come to a solution that I wont care much about what's happening around me, I'll smile and laugh a little more and take less tension, because, in the end, everything will be just fine.

Summarizing it all....

Be Confident

Be confident people of the world!!

Selfishness: What it really is... (With a happening of 10th July, 2015)

I study in a school where there are several types of assessments taken, like Self Assessment, Teacher's Assessment, Peer Assessment and Group Assessment. My group had done extremely well in the Group Assessment and deserved full marks. What happened was the teacher gave us less marks than we deserved.

When we went to the teacher to increase our marks and give us what we deserved, he agreed. But there are two guys, Sean and Yoko ( I'd not like to take their real names) who didn't want my group to get good marks. They went to the teacher and started claiming that if my group has got more marks, then even they should get more marks. They yelled and debated with the teacher, and Sir is not partial with anyone, so he had to let our marks be as it is, and didn't increase it. Do not think that I don't have a great voice, I have an extremely loud voice and even I could shout and yell right at them, but I had a sore throat and I also didn't want to cross my limits like they did. If I would shout, then what would be the difference between me and them?

Besides, these two guys, Yoko and Sean, if I or the other classmates wouldn't have given them a soft corner for whatever they have done with all of them, I highly doubt that they would still be in this school, where good discipline is the most important.

Keeping all the wrath and anger away, they are just jealous of me, my group, my team's hard work, and how good personalities we are. They must have thought that by what they did to us today, they would bring my confidence down and I would fail, but they are unsuccessful to do so. Nothing can bring my and my team's determination down, besides, we are going to have loads of other opportunities to score better in the upcoming year, and I guarantee that we will accomplish to do so and people like Yoko and Sean will be wondering.

Keep calm and stay away from guys like them...

Success is not an accident, and this proves it...

Hey everyone!

This is my first ever guitar cover I uploaded on the Internet. This cover is of the song ' Blank Space' by Taylor Swift. I have not played the second verse because I just couldn't memorize the lyrics. Believe me, I tried, but I couldn't. Anyways, the details of the guitar chords and strumming patterns are given below the video. Thanks to Ellen Chang, a you-tuber whose tutorial helped me a lot. You can go ahead and learn this song and various other songs from her.

Enjoy!!

The chords used in this song are D Major, B minor, Em7 (optional), Em, G major and A major.

If you want to play it in the original scale, you'll need a capo on the 3rd fret. I decided to sing it and play it in a lower scale.

The chord progression for the verses are :
| D | % | Bm | % | Em7 | % | G | A |

| D | % | Bm | % | Em7 | % | A : G |

The chord progression for the choruses are:

| D | % | Bm | % | Em | % | G | % |

The chord progression for the bridge is:

||: D | A | Bm | G :||

There is a short break between the first chorus and the second verse. Here, the chords go like this:

| D | % |

Good luck playing and hope it helped!!

:)
